Version 3.0 Now Released!

Finally, beta version 3.0! This new version has all the new features, bug fixes (and possibly new, undiscovered bugs, eek!), interactions, etc., but don't expect the new segment, the ServerArea, for it's still in development!

So, let's see what's new in v3.0:

New Interactions:

  • As the Male White Latex 01 monster in StasisArea, you can now get a custom dialogue in the balcony (a.k.a. Game Over/Ending).
  • As a Dark Latex Monster in the Salon (where all the monsters are sleeping), you may now eat the oranges in the table! (with dialogue of course)
  • Going in the Wolf King's area as an Adult Dark Latex Yufeng (Yufeng Pup QTE), you will encounter a custom event and interaction dialogue from the Wolf King boss.
  • There is also a custom interaction that I'm not sure if I've announced before, but in the Salon, as a Dark Latex Monster, you can go to sleep in the empty pillow!  (a.k.a. Game Over/Ending)
  • Walking in Dr. K's Laser Area as a monster will trigger a unique dialogue!

New features:

  • Updated 'FidelityFX Super Resolution' from v2.1 to v2.2 (Potential performance upgrade!)
  • The 'Consciousness System': this system is responsible for determining which monsters you can control, so this encourages that you get unique transfurs as to get custom dialogues and events! While avoiding other monsters which will tear your consciousness away from you!
  • MonsterType System: once you are transfurred and are conscious, this system will tell the game which type of monster you have, either Organic or Latex type. Though, as of now, there is not much done with this, but it will probably be more used in the future! (Currently, it defines if a monster player can 'liquidify' and enter the ventilation ducts or not)
  • The 'Tension' System: this is a new system that I thought of that will possibly enhance the feeling of terror, and tension, that The Human felt during his adventure. Basically, new Sounds and Post Processing based on how 'tense' The Human is (e.g. quantity of monsters chasing and distance). There will be in the future many options to adjust a variety of options of the gameplay, graphics, audio, etc., including this Tension System.

Bug fixes and Other things:

  • Improved responsiveness of pushing boxes
  • Fixed the Cat being able to aggravate himself by stepping in the puddles.
  • In Retransmission Area (in OfficeArea, the place with the bathrooms), the DarkLatexJarPup will now be smoothly animated.
  • (Note: some dialogues in English may be different than before because of issues I had with the Localization Tool, so I had to retype some of those dialogues again)
  • Added Struggle Animations to Colin during some transfurs of some Monsters, such as the Living Milk Pudding and The Cat.
  • Added Transfur Admiration to some transfurs of some monsters, such as the Cat's TF and the Male White Latex 01

Hope you enjoy these new things, and if you happen to find a bug or two, or just want to share your opinion, comment below!

Hell, the same old problem arises again, the office is converted at the wall still has the probability of being pushed out of the wall, and this problem is more likely to occur when there are obstacles next to it

Oof, I imagined it might still be a problem.

It's a very hard problem to resolve, at least for me, because of all the vector management and meshes animations and them coinciding perfectly. Later I will try to resolve this issue.

It is now in my notes, thanks hawkwk!

I was a little impatient, so I still tested the game immediately. I first read my old archive, and it was here that two problems occurred, located at the white latex knight chase archive point, and the wolf king first encounter archive point, manifesting as the white latex knight not triggering, or even disappearing (and only it will have this problem), and the wolf king not triggering the subsequent action, but the crystals around it are still in effect. In order to transform the colin (confirmed as colin in WIKI, yes, on WIKI) / colin vinyl wolf before the wolf king finished snapping his fingers and the next door interaction will lead to data overflow, other non-critical points of the archive does not affect much, can be used normally

I'm surprised that your "awareness" system is quite well done, but I don't really like the current version of "awareness" as it stands. For the sake of reason, your "uncontrollable" is very well done and fits the plot. But for my playing experience, I don't like it very much. However, at this stage, I'm happy with the system in general, but I hope that in the future, the "player's hand" will change some transformations that will lose "freedom and awareness", but I think this system can be left for future " monster colin" story. Of course, I also have a little selfishness, that is, I hope to play in advance.

I was surprised that you actually left the "latex colin" with a possible future story to start with, but I'm really happy that you're really preparing for the future.

I really like the animation of the transformed claws looking at themselves after being transformed, it would be nice to be able to match all the transformations in the first person and to see the flesh pads in the claws except for the hive conscious latex (which has flesh pads, but is also white). I hope to adjust the position of the claws after the transformation, I still do not like the unity of the action on the chest, natural drooping or instinctive action action may be better? Also uncontrollable latex monsters first locked in the first view, followed by a third view may be better? I hope you test this one, hell, if only I could write games

I've put together a few morphological transformation effects related to the "awareness" system, which I've listed below:

White Latex

The appearance of each white latex creature varies by type and species, but most of the time, they are completely white. They also seem to retain their memories based on type. Common Light Latex beasts also do not have noses. (This also means that usually, are still self-aware, but with the eye color change, even if the memory is retained will be due to the adulteration of latex consciousness will lead to behavior changes, the typical example is shizi. while hive consciousness white latex excluded, but belong to this category, in the latest special edition, colin was transformed into hive consciousness white latex later, and finally, although awakened by puro (but the memory and personal consciousness have been very confused)

Because they lack the solid crystal core of their dark latex counterparts, their anatomy is unstable in the absence of a human host, and many of them appear deformed, have various missing attributes or have no hearing. With a human host they can still pass through slightly larger ventilation ducts, this is reflected in the special edition

Also, completely hostile to black latex

Subordinates:

1. White Knight 2. Light Latex (Milk Pudding also belongs to this category) 3.
8. Headless Knight 9. Behemoth 10. White Tiger in the ventilation duct, special white cat variants belong to this category

Special: 1. White Latex

Black Latex: From what I've gathered, black latex usually "assimilates", "devours" and "occupies", with only male latex being "assimilated". Only male latexes are "assimilated", while females are mostly "occupied" and "swallowed". Among the 5 wolf-type transformations, two cubs retain their self-awareness and personality (blue eyes), the female is completely devoured (only memory, behavior completely changed, and not a trace left), the male two are completely assimilated (only memory, the rest completely turned into black latex), the future may be the same as Puro, or the female coincidentally found something to re-embark on out of the road.

Completely hostile to the white colloid.

Subordinates: all types of black latex, dragon and wolf type

Special (organic entities): beifeng, red crystal wolf

Special latex before the Dragon King battle: traffic cone (seems to be a special latex, no details)

This is the part that I think you may use, the rest to the back I will sort out to you

I wish you a wonderful month!

Thank you for testing the new version, I really appreciate it!

So, a lot to take in, but I'll write down your ideas separately and implement them sometime in the near future, as I really need to continue development with the new segment of the game, the 'ServerArea', because otherwise, I'm never going to finish this project, haha 😅.

And of course I will continue to improve the different aspects of the Transfur system, and I'm really considering adding unique player animations to each controllable monster, after you mention it again, because I also think of something similar when I see the hands on the chest, it doesn't fulfill me and I have to agree with you. I'll probably add a unique set of animations for the player monsters soon!

The story and the monsters (+ transfurs) are the most vital thing of 'Changed' and therefore of this game.

By the way, I don't quite understand the problems you mention... Have you tried to load an old 'saved game' in the new version? Because that would break a lot of things. Future versions of the game are not yet compatible with old savegames, as there is no 'save slot upgrade system'.

I will check those problems as best I can, though.

I will try to make a better Awareness system that can be more fun for everyone, but, as I said, I really need to continue development with 'ServerArea'.

And finally, thank you! You too, have a very good month! 😺

Yes, old archives can have problems loading at key locations, and it is best to mention this in the introduction, using the archiver does not have this problem. However, this is related to the player's archive inheritance, so we suggest to pay attention to this point when designing the location of the archiver in the map in the future.

(P.S. This problem is only in the key locations after I repeatedly test the archiving problem, the rest of the archiving machine location remains unchanged, the impact is not large, is a minor problem)

Am I being a little too greedy? I seem to have caused you discomfort, perhaps because I have high expectations of your game, I'm really, really sorry!

Oh! I forgot to mention a perspective change problem, white rubber knight where the camera seems to have a little problem, was tf back when there are a few frames of the perspective appears under the floor, otherwise, in the previous level there is no need to deal with the old problem again

As well as I hope that the information I put together can be useful to you, thank you for your reply ~
