Info on Development State


So, long time no see! It's time to communicate what's been going on....

I've had a bit of a hard time keeping up with the development due to.... personal matters... and due to moving to another house soon, so my mind has been pretty drilled these past few weeks! (And, also, due to EXCESS HEAT. Gosh darn! It's so hot where I currently live that I can't THINK straight!!).

I haven't been completely inactive, though! I've been tweaking the game, fixing a few bugs here and there and, most importantly, I've been developing the community's suggestions! There will be a "Consciousness" system (I now realize the importance of this...) that will determine which monsters you will be able to control and possibly for how long. Now this adds a lot more value to certain transfurs because instead of controlling each and every monster, which developmentally is insanely harder to design to be fun, you'll have to get specific transfurs in certain locations to interact with the environment and get curious results as a conscious monster!

There's also another semi-system that allows me to define the MonsterType on different monsters and transfurs, either OrganicType or LatexType (also suggested by the community!), which has a lot of potential... At first I didn't realize that different monsters are organic, and others purely latex (Werewolf TF is organic, and Slime/DLMonster/etc. are purely Latex) in the original game.

And recently, now that I've thankfully started to feel quite a bit better, I've started development of the next segment of the game, the ServerArea! (It will be from ServerAreaEntrance all the way to DragonHandBossChase !). The green color, the servers and the rest is very refreshing to develop, it becomes difficult to develop one segment for a long time....

It's good to see you again, I didn't expect you to really take my advice and work on these things.

I had imagined the awareness system to be in the text and in the scene interaction, but I didn't expect you to think farther than me on this.

Although I would prefer to experience a different story with different interactions from the perspective of different monsters,  but , I support your idea.

On the matter of monster types, in the new SP version I'm actually confused about whether some types are organic or fully latex, but as I said before, the most common method of differentiation is "by whether to use a syringe" transformation. It's just that the new monster "Stone Ghost" has been very confusing as to what type it is ...

Anyway, I'm glad you're still doing this. And I wish you a better time in your new home!

Oh, and one more thing, after playing through the previous version a few times, I feel that the black latex corridor there seems to be the only way to pass through this one wearing a disguise. Another method seems to be difficult to pass because of the black latex detection mechanism, but now it does not affect the normal passage, it is best to ignore it for the time being.

Yes, I now feel like the "Awareness" or "Consciousness" system is integral to the game! because, the whole topic is about monsters trying to take your consciousness/humanity away, so it'd make sense if you weren't able to control all monsters, instead, only specific monsters. To have a more in-depth system.

I saw this new Stone Ghost in the Patreon.. it is confusing.. I'd think the Stone Ghost is LatexType... because I imagine the LatexType being able to metamorphosize into different shapes and materials more easily, while the organic is restrained to only one form. But this is only my current speculation.

I do have in mind making a separate custom story to Changed, but maybe after I finish a good chunk of the original game 2D to 3D translation.

I feel like I should get more developers on the project......... because otherwise it becomes very hard to continue development, optimize other parts of the game, develop suggestions, enhance previous 3D models, etc., etc. (though that's what I want, a hell of a good game in every way I possibly can make!). But for now, I need to see my highest priorities.

Thanks hawkwk for taking such interest in my game, you have really improved the game with all of your feedback!! ( and given me more motivation to finish this project :D )

Oh. Uh... I didn't know my advice would help you... It helps so much. I was really just hoping to have a 3D version of Changed in mind and to satisfy my own little whims.

And, to be honest, your control of the "monsterized self" is what attracted me, and you are the only one I know of so far that did this based on changed, and this system does what I used to imagine playing changed. It's very, very scalable, and I look forward to your future modifications and expansions of it!

Anyway, cheers, I'm looking forward to playing your work better and better in the future!
