Office Area - Wolf King - Development

So, after working in merely the SKELETON of the Office Area section, I've finally managed to design, program, and model all the stuff for the Wolf King boss battle! This is merely the skeleton, and can be so much more, and WILL be much more. I'm planning to upgrade the models, replace placeholders, improve level design, difficulty, etc., etc.

So, here are some pictures of the Wolf King's lair and his model. (Pictures attached to this post!)

The Wolf King battle is fully functional, and the game may save before the battle, one may save in the Save Station, fight the boss, fail and retry, etc. and everything will work, as to what I have tested.

So now that this final part of the skeleton in the Office section is complete, I may now proceed to properly FINISHING the previous levels and all the stuff, from that I mean: transfurs, level improvement, lacking level events, better difficulty balancing, dialogs, and all the other tiny-itsy-bitsy details. Why like this? Why not start and do everything right from the beginning? Because I like to quickly sketch out all that I must do, then proceed to finish all the details.

So, now in the future you will be seeing all the levels improved with dialogs, transfurs, better level design, maybe easter eggs (if I can find the time for such thing!), and other stuff!

Though I'd like to mention that I'm soon going on vacations and development will therefore be PAUSED.

If you like what you are seeing, please leave a constructive or positive comment, it helps me get motivation to finish this! :)

Very good game overall. However, in the case of limited first person observation perspective, it is extremely difficult for me to confirm the escape route and the direction of the pursuer at the same time when facing the chase. Therefore, I can no longer remember how many times I have been caught by the Ming cat. Considering that there will be many similar scenes in the future, perhaps it is necessary to improve this aspect.

Besides, the running feeling is not very smooth. Although I know Lin is not very flexible when he wakes up, I feel like an elderly grandma compared with Lin who runs with life for survival in the original version of Changed

As well, this is a 3D game, but I haven't found the meaning of the jump key at present. After all, there are obstacles formed by air walls everywhere. I have no place to jump, let alone try to hide on the table lol

In 3D Game, maybe you can try to give players more escape routes? Like crossing the table? Or jump over some smaller obstacles?

As for other aspects, others have already mentioned them, so I won't mention them any more

A small request that may be a little selfish:

It's good to maintain a "self" perspective for a certain time after Transfured and be able to control it. Compared with directly ending the game, this simple interaction has surprised me, but I feel that the time is too short. I don't even have time to "taste" the process. Can you prolong the time a little? Or let the player choose to end the game and return to the menu?

Although it doesn't make much sense, I want to experience this different perspective more òwó

(Sorry for poor English, if there is any grammar problem that leads to any incomprehensible sentence, I can try my best to explain)

Hello! I am most glad that you enjoyed the game! Thank you for your feedback very much!!
I have noted the different points, and I most certainly agree with you on the 'small request', one thing that I haven't seen in most Changed fan-games, is the Post Transfur Gameplay, 'what actually happens once you are assimilated?', so a HARD YES on that one, I will be expanding the Post Transfur Gameplay, adding custom dialogs and probably custom events once you are transfurred and let the player decide when to go back to menu and try again.

As to the other points, the reason running feels like... 'grandmother running'... is because there are no effects, I will be adding FOV effects and other tinyitsy details, and will try to upgrade the feeling and use of running.

I have removed the JUMPING, (at least internally, once I post an update with a download you won't see the Jump anymore). Jumping just changed the concept of the original game too much, and I really did not see it as something really important that should be there, so yeah, it was there initially because I forgot to remove it and was focused on fixing bugs.

I've received various feedback regarding difficulty, so I will be trying to adjust difficulty for the different dangers: White Knight, Ming Cat and Laser Room.

Once I get back, I will check my To-Do list and start working on all the million tasks that I have pending for the Office Area and the feedback that's been given!

I'm glad to hear that. I will wait with my expectation.

I support your creation, but I would like to give you a suggestion. Because it is 3D, it is a little difficult to find the mechanism rules in the dark hallway, so I have been stuck in this level. I would like to ask you to reduce the difficulty of this level. My English is broken. Excuse me

OK, there are some parts that are quite difficult, I'm planning on making it easier. But I am confused as to the level you are referring to! The Dark Hallway level has no difficulty, it's just walking, perhaps you are referring to the White Knight chase in the Warehouse area?

If that's not it, maybe you are referring to Doctor K Lasers Room, known as the Isolation Room, which is quite hard.

What you need to do there is to move at the sides to make the lasers move, without you needing to go into the laser head first. So just move to the sides until the lasers change positions, then continue to move forward when it's safe to do so.

Thank you for your suggestion very much! In the future, I will be making it easier, or adding tips to the player so he does not get stuck.

The video has been released in bilibili, and the audience likes this game very much. The play volume has exceeded 6k and is moving towards 1w.Please continue!

Here are some suggestions I collected about the audience:

1. It is better to use milky white for latex modeling. Mercury may be strange.

2. The modeling is somewhat rough, but it is understandable. They hope to continue to refuel for optimization model.

That's all the suggestions I've collected so far.

My English is not very good, please forgive me!

Looking forward to future updates!

Yay!! Okey, I've noted the suggestions, I will probably change the White Latex material into a more 'white milk' material, since it's true, it looks more like 'mercury' instead of white.

About the second one... yes, I am no professional 3D modeller, heh, I will try my best to upgrade the current models however I possibly can, since there is little to no models online about 3D Latex Monsters, so I need to develop them myself.

Your English is forgiven :D. I am able to understand you quite well.

Since I am going on vacations for a while, I wont be able to post Developer Logs nor work on the game itself until I comeback from vacations. But once I am back, I will continue to develop the Office area until it is done!

I am a small video anchor from China's bilibili. I like this peer game very much. Please continue to cheer up and look forward to the following content. I will make a video of the game and release it to bilibili. Maybe the author of the changed will be amazed when he sees it!

Thank you! I am glad you like the game! :D.

I am thrilled for the video!!
